1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Canal Point Movers’ website, services, and materials, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use our services.


2. Services Provided

Canal Point Movers provides a range of moving services, including but not limited to:

  • Local and long-distance residential moving
  • Commercial moving
  • Packing and unpacking services
  • Furniture disassembly and reassembly
  • Storage solutions

These services will be provided based on the specific agreement made between the customer and Canal Point Movers.


3. Booking and Payment Terms

  • Booking: You may book our moving services through our website, by phone, or in person. A non-refundable deposit may be required at the time of booking to secure your moving date.

  • Payment: Full payment for services is due on the day of the move, unless otherwise agreed upon. We accept various forms of payment, including credit cards, checks, and cash. Any outstanding balance must be settled before the completion of the move.

  • Estimates: All quotes are based on estimated hours of work, distance, and the amount of items being moved. The final cost may vary depending on the actual circumstances of the move. Any changes to the initial estimate will be communicated to the customer prior to the move.


4. Customer Responsibilities

  • Packing: The customer is responsible for ensuring that all items are packed and ready for transport unless packing services are included in the moving agreement. Fragile or valuable items should be clearly identified for special handling.

  • Access and Parking: The customer must ensure that there is sufficient parking space for our moving vehicles near the pick-up and delivery locations. Access to the moving area must be clear and free of obstructions.

  • Safety and Security: The customer must ensure that all items are properly secured and safe for transport. Canal Point Movers will not be liable for damage to items that were improperly packed by the customer or not secured.


5. Liability and Insurance

  • Damage to Goods: Canal Point Movers is responsible for any damage that occurs due to negligence or improper handling by our moving crew. Our liability for damages is limited to the replacement cost of the items damaged or lost during the move. Specific insurance options may be available, and customers should inquire about these options when booking services.

  • Storage Liability: Canal Point Movers provides secure storage services with climate-controlled options. However, we are not liable for any loss, damage, or theft of items stored in our facility unless it was caused by our negligence. Customers are encouraged to insure their belongings if storing items long-term.


6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Cancellations: If you need to cancel or reschedule your move, please notify Canal Point Movers at least 48 hours before the scheduled move. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance may incur a cancellation fee.

  • Rescheduling: If you need to reschedule your move, please contact us at least 48 hours in advance to ensure availability. If rescheduling is requested after this time, additional fees may apply.


7. Prohibited Items

The following items are prohibited from being moved by Canal Point Movers:

  • Hazardous materials (chemicals, flammable items, etc.)
  • Live animals
  • Firearms or ammunition
  • Perishable food items
  • Illegal or stolen goods

Canal Point Movers reserves the right to refuse to move any items that fall under these categories.


8. Indemnification

By using our services, you agree to indemnify and hold Canal Point Movers, its employees, agents, and affiliates harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising out of your use of our services, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, and loss of goods.


9. Termination of Services

Canal Point Movers reserves the right to terminate services at any time due to non-compliance with these terms, non-payment, unsafe conditions, or other situations that may put the safety of personnel or the public at risk. In such cases, the customer will be responsible for any services rendered up to the point of termination.


10. Privacy Policy

Our privacy policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using our services, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.


11. Changes to Terms

Canal Point Movers reserves the right to modify or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and it is the responsibility of the customer to review these terms periodically. Continued use of our services after any changes have been made constitutes your acceptance of those changes.


12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Florida.
